 Is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated on 17 March. It commemorates the death of Saint Patrick, the saint of Ireland.  In USA is celebrated because Americans are of Irish origin.

How is it celebrated?

There are parades in cities like New York, New Orleans, Chicago or Boston.
Bars, pubs and restaurants offer green beer, and typically all wear something green.
The symbol using this day in hats, t-shirts and collars is the four leaf clover.
All talk about the luck of the Irish and sing Irish songs.

In schools, children make crafts; they eat green cupcakes and cookies and learn the history of Saint Patrick.

Are famous the leprechauns because they are of Irish mythology. the legend said that the leprechauns repair shoes and the coins they earn are put on a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
